PLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES WITH GATEWAY:
Our work here is about enabling people to stay in their local area and helping to maintain a thriving community. Gateway is an established charitable organisation that started from small beginnings 20 years ago, as the Highland Homeless Trust. Since then our services have developed to encompass support for individuals, both young and old, with varying needs.
For around eight years, we’ve been providing a wide range of support services in Gairloch and now. In that time, we’ve worked in strong partnership with the local community, the NHS and Social Work to provide a variety of support services and we are motivated by the difference we make to the community. We work with people with substance abuse issues, learning disabilities, autism and mental health issues, as well as older people. As part of our Care at Home service, we offer support with daily tasks that help people to stay in their own homes for longer.
The dedicated team is passionate about supporting people to stay in the local area. “We’re driven by enabling people to thrive in the local area – and we do that by providing the right support – we now have an established service, but to develop this further for the long-term, we need community buy-in. The impact we can have is dependent on the community getting involved to help us make a real difference.”
Job vacancy in Gairloch:
Are you an enthusiastic, community-minded individual? Or do you know someone who might fit the bill? We’re looking for someone with a caring, practical approach and a strong community focus to work with vulnerable people in the local area. We can offer a variety of flexible hours – full-time, part-time, weekends and evening shifts. Rate of pay depends on qualifications and experience.
