Overview:
Gateway is a charitable organisation that provides support to vulnerable individuals in our community. We are currently offering some excellent job opportunities and are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team! As a Home Care Worker, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in their homes. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
– Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
– Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
– Assist with light housekeeping tasks
– Monitor and report any changes in client’s condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
– Follow care plans and ensure the safety and well-being of clients
– Maintain accurate documentation of services provided
Experience:
– Previous experience in home care, assisted living, nursing home, or hospice care is preferred however not essential
– Ability to drive and have a valid driver’s license
– Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients
– Compassionate and empathetic nature
– Ability to work independently
